Gazza - Dentist Chair

1996, Wembley, it’s coming home.

In the run up to Euro 96 Gazza had been heavily criticised by the media for a drinking session in Hong Kong with his team mates. They were photographed sitting in a dentist chair having booze poured into their mouths.

In the stand out tie of the first round Gazza leaves Colin Hendry on the floor with a deft chip and volleys the ball into the bottom corner of Scotland’s goal. Cue the most famous celebration in England’s history.
